Castle: In The Clouds

For our second assignment we were instructed to create a castle, though it didn't have to be a literal castle, that is the direction I chose to go in!

I experimented with using BooleanUnion to make less "strict" shapes. I began with creating a sphere with the revolve tool, creating varying sizes before joining them using BooleanUnion tool. From there, I was able to take my blocks of clouds, copying and rotating them for their various applications.

To create the divots in the moon, I used the BooleanDifference tool, placing small spheres where I felt the moon needed texture then removing them from the surface of the moon. The gold posts were created using the loft tool, while the main towers were extruded from basic shapes.

To place the windows on the main tower I used the rotate tool, and experimented with the "patch" tool to create the rounded window surface.
